The inspiration for this garden was a recently exposed brick wall, which gives character to the environment. Providing structure are two mature trees. A birch and an olive tree integrate perfectly with a variety of shade-loving plants, which thrive in the microclimate formed by the wall. The ephemeral and changing plant palette provides a lush landscape all year round.
The combination of straight lines that outline the different areas and the soft vegetation creates a harmonious balance, in which light and shadow intertwine, accentuating the contrast of the garden. A carefully positioned fountain serves as a focal point within the wildflower lawn, attracting birds and pollinators alike. Sheltered under the shade of the birch tree, a secluded seating area invites moments of contemplation and repose, completing the tranquil atmosphere of the garden.
